Having a dedicated business phone number within EZMS is the foundation for all your communication—from sending automated SMS follow-ups to launching your Advanced Voice AI. This guide walks you through the quick process of searching for, purchasing, and configuring your new business line.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Navigate to Phone Settings: From your main EZMS dashboard, click on Settings at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar. From there, select Phone Numbers to enter the management area for your telephony services 00:15.

2. Search for a Number

  • Add Number: Click the "Add Number" button to open the search tool 00:22.

  • Filter by Area Code: Enter your preferred local area code to find a number that resonates with your local customers. You can also toggle the search to look for Toll-Free numbers (800, 888, etc.) if you want a more national presence 00:35.

  • Pick Your Number: Scroll through the list of available options and select the one that is easiest to remember.

3. Purchase and Confirm: Once you've selected your number, click Save or Buy. The system will show you the monthly lease cost (typically very low). Confirm the purchase, and the number will be instantly added to your account 00:50.

4. Configure Basic Settings: Now that you own the number, click the Edit (pencil icon) next to it:

  • Number Name: Give it a friendly name like "Main Office Line" or "Sales Line" so you can identify it later 01:05.

  • Forwarding: If you want calls to this number to ring through to your personal cell phone while you're getting set up, enter your cell number in the Forwarding field 01:15.
